IMPP Working Group Sued!

In a surprise announcement, the Equal Opportunity Server Coalition
charged the IMPP working group with bias against servers.  The servers
claim the current CPIM specification unfairly specifies that servers
receive no replies to notifications they send, while clients receive
replies for both instant messages and subscription requests.  Said
spokesperson Prissy Prim, "Why should we have to supply clients with
replies when they don't respond to us?"

The Equal Opportunity Client Coalition immediately counter sued.  They
changed the IMPP working group with privacy violations.  Spokesperson
Simple Ton claimed the working group allows servers to require that
some instant messages be signed, but clients have no means of
requiring that notifications be signed.  "This is blatantly unfair",
said Mr. Ton.

Prissy Prim scoffed at the complaint.  "IM servers are always
trustworthy", she said.  She further stated that IM servers have
traditionally maintained their anonymity and are above being submitted
to the kind of accountability that digital signatures forces upon
them.

The trial will be held in CPU Superior Court, Judge Apex Bottom
presiding.  Prior litigates cliam he doesn't know which way is up.
