In the current CPIM draft, it mentions that 

"To process an IM URI, a lookup is performed for SRVs for the target
   domain and a desired IM transfer protocol"

Should the "desired" transfer protocol be a choice of the terminating side? If so, should NAPRT be used?

This eliminates the need for the entity doing the look up to have a list of "desired" transfer protocols to use.
