What is the exact intention for its use in presence?

The current syntax emulates the mailto: URL, which permits specifying
all of a message to be posted.  Is pres: intended to permit specifying
all of a presence (request?  response?).

That is, is pres: intended to specify an address or an object?  mailto:
can specify an object, with an addressee, though it is typically used to
specify only an addressee.

the idea that a single URL is specifying multiple addresses seems at
least counter-intuitive.

Are the multiple addresses tied to the construct of a single presence or
are they tied to the use of multiple presences (prescients?) within the
service?

Think about the fact a person with multiple telephone numbers
nonetheless specifies them independently.  What do I mean by
indepedently?  For example:

           pres:[email protected],[email protected]

is not the same URL as:

           pres:[email protected]

Is that *really* what folks want?

Or do they, instead, want to permit:

      pres:[email protected],pres:[email protected]

In other words, we need to be very clear about the semantics of this
URL.
