Protocol Action: 'Event Notification Management Information Base for DOCSIS Compliant Cable Modems and Cable Modem Termination Systems' to Proposed Standard

This document is the product of the IP over Cable Data Network Working Group.

Technical Summary
 
  This memo defines a portion of the Management Information Base (MIB)
  for use with network management protocols in the Internet community.
  In particular, it defines a basic set of managed objects for SNMP-
  based event notification management of DOCSIS compliant Cable Modems
  and Cable Modem Termination Systems.  This MIB is defined as an
  extension to the DOCSIS Cable Device MIB.

  This memo specifies a MIB module in a manner that is compliant to the
  SMIv2.  The set of objects is consistent with the SNMP framework and
  existing SNMP standards.

  The Working Group has consensus to publish this document as a
  Proposed STandard.
