Hi Mike, Thanks for your guidance on the envelope issue; swapping the x- and y-dimension values on certain attributes fixed the problem on macOS and iOS However, it did bring up something that's a bit confusing. The way the media-size names are formatted (like jpn_you4-long-flap_235x105mm) seems to imply a landscape orientation, but the actual x-dimension and y-dimension values in the attributes need to be in portrait format for it to work. Since this isn't spelled out in the spec, we think it would be really helpful to update the IPP Envelope Media Extensions spec to clearly state that the dimensions must always be ordered in portrait mode in those IPP attributes. We'd appreciate your thoughts on this. Charles, Only the media-size-supported, media-col-ready, and media-col-database attributes need the X and Y values "swapped" (x-dimension < y-dimension) for the long-edge flap envelope sizes. > On Aug 19, 2025, at 2:20 PM, Charles Armstrong via ipp <[email protected]> wrote: > > Hi Mike, > Following up on your suggestion to swap the x-dimension and y-dimension values for the envelope size (‘jpn_you4-long-flap_235x105mm’ ): > Does this change need to be applied to all attributes where media dimensions are specified for the envelope size, or is it specific to attributes such as media-supported, media-size-supported, media-col-database, and media-col-ready? > (begin-collection): > (begin-collection) > (integer) x-dimension: 10500 > (integer) y-dimension: 23500 > Thanks > Charles > _______________________________________________ > ipp mailing list > [email protected] > https://www.pwg.org/mailman/listinfo/ipp ________________________ Michael Sweet _______________________________________________ ipp mailing list [email protected] https://www.pwg.org/mailman/listinfo/ipp _______________________________________________ ipp mailing list [email protected] https://www.pwg.org/mailman/listinfo/ipp
