Why MUST LS be in same send receive mode with all peers ?

Hi all, Section "4.2.1.1.2. Send Receive Capability" of RFC 3219 says - "An LS MUST be configured in the same Send Receive mode for all peers." Can someone please clarify why a LS MUST be in same send receive mode ? What could go wrong if we allow LS to be in different send receive modes with different peers ? Thanks, Sarath
