Bikeshed comment, but since from the 6man chat I'm not the only one
confused:

It may be worth picking a different name for this than "loopback".
That term is overloaded and numerous people got confused as to how it
relates to loopback addresses
(eg, an old name for localhost).

What might be a better name I'll leave for the authors as is certainly a
bikeshed.
>From the chat (where not all of these may be serious):

- Bill Fenner. "mega-echo request
- Éric Vyncke: "mirror request"
- David Lamparter. ICMPv6 Better Echo Request
- Jen Linkova: Best Ever Echo Request: bEER
Jeremy Duncan how about calling it "closed loop" ? That's like what it's
doing
- Soni Terense - HERE - header echo request [e???]
- me: FULL_ECHO_REQUEST
