I mentioned I first got involved 25 years ago, though my first real contribution here wasn’t until 2003.

And that means I missed the discussions that led to RFC 2501 and a large number of experimental RFCs
before that was reduced to 4 (AODV, DSR, OLSR, TBRPF), later 2, later 1. So I’m a relative newcomer
- except that I’m not sure who is still here from before then.
