I mentioned I first got involved 25 years ago, though my first real contribution here wasn’t until 2003. And that means I missed the discussions that led to RFC 2501 and a large number of experimental RFCs before that was reduced to 4 (AODV, DSR, OLSR, TBRPF), later 2, later 1. So I’m a relative newcomer - except that I’m not sure who is still here from before then. > On 2 Aug 2024, at 20:44, Kyle Rose <[email protected]> wrote: > > On Fri, Aug 2, 2024, 3:39 PM Christopher Dearlove <[email protected] <mailto:[email protected]>> wrote: >> I was going to note to Kyle that when I first got involved in ad hoc networking, now I think 25 years ago this year, we had those discussions. >> I think it might be a bit late to re-open that question. > > > Fair enough, and my purpose isn't to be argumentative or reopen decided questions. I just took a few minutes to peruse some of the references and do a few web searches, and couldn't find a specific application, so I figured I'd ask. > > Even 9 years in, I'm a relative newcomer to the IETF. > > Kyle _______________________________________________ manet mailing list -- [email protected] To unsubscribe send an email to [email protected]
