Hello, an adoption call has been issued on the 6man list for "IPv6 Addresses for Ad Hoc Networks". This document provides a way forward for IPv6 addressing in ad hoc networks of all varieties but should be of particular interest for MANETs that operate either autonomously or with only intermittent connectivity to the Internet. It provides an update to RFC5889 by introducing a new Multilink Local Address (MLA) type and paves the way for automatic configuration of Unique Local Addresses (ULAs) and Globally Unique Addresses (GUAs). Please review and post your responses to the adoption call on the 6man list (see instructions below). Thank you - Fred -----Original Message----- From: Bob Hinden <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, September 06, 2024 8:26 AM To: IPv6 List <[email protected]> Cc: Bob Hinden <[email protected]> Subject: [IPv6]Adoption call for <draft-templin-6man-mla> This email starts a 6MAN adoption call for the following document: Title: IPv6 Addresses for Ad Hoc Networks Authors: F.
