This message is in MIME format. Since your mail reader does not understand this format, some or all of this message may not be legible. ------_=_NextPart_001_01C2BE33.75A70F8C Content-Type: text/plain Could people please look through this and see what else has to be done besides changing the signature algorithm codepoints as agreed yesterday. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Friday, January 17, 2003 7:24 AM Cc: [email protected] Subject: I-D ACTION:draft-ietf-itrace-03.txt A New Internet-Draft is available from the on-line Internet-Drafts directories. This draft is a work item of the ICMP Traceback Working Group of the IETF. Title : ICMP Traceback Messages Author(s) : S. Bellovin, M. Leech, T. Taylor Filename : draft-ietf-itrace-03.txt Pages : 18 Date : 2003-1-16 It is often useful to learn the path that packets take through the Internet, especially when dealing with certain denial-of-service attacks. We propose a new ICMP message, emitted randomly by routers along the path and sent randomly to the destination (to provide useful information to the attacked party) or to the origin (to provide information to decipher reflector attacks). A URL for this Internet-Draft is: http://www.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-ietf-itrace-03.txt To remove yourself from the IETF Announcement list, send a message to ietf-announce-request with the word unsubscribe in the body of the message. Internet-Drafts are also available by anonymous FTP. Login with the username "anonymous" and a password of your e-mail address. After logging in, type "cd internet-drafts" and then "get draft-ietf-itrace-03.txt". A list of Internet-Drafts directories can be found in http://www.ietf.org/shadow.html or ftp://ftp.ietf.org/ietf/1shadow-sites.txt Internet-Drafts can also be obtained by e-mail. Send a message to: [email protected]. In the body type: "FILE /internet-drafts/draft-ietf-itrace-03.txt". NOTE: The mail server at ietf.org can return the document in MIME-encoded form by using the "mpack" utility. To use this feature, insert the command "ENCODING mime" before the "FILE" command. To decode the response(s), you will need "munpack" or a MIME-compliant mail reader. Different MIME-compliant mail readers exhibit different behavior, especially when dealing with "multipart" MIME messages (i.e. documents which have been split up into multiple messages), so check your local documentation on how to manipulate these messages. Below is the data which will enable a MIME compliant mail reader implementation to automatically retrieve the ASCII version of the Internet-Draft. ------_=_NextPart_001_01C2BE33.75A70F8C Content-Type: text/html Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable

<META HTTP-EQUIV=3D"Content-Type" CONTENT=3D"text/html; = charset=3Dus-ascii"> <META NAME=3D"Generator" CONTENT=3D"MS Exchange Server version = 5.5.2655.35">
FW: I-D ACTION:draft-ietf-itrace-03.txt

Could people please look through this and see what = else has to be done besides changing the signature algorithm codepoints = as agreed yesterday.

-----Original Message-----
From: [email protected] [<A = HREF=3D"mailto:[email protected]">mailto:[email protected]= ]
Sent: Friday, January 17, 2003 7:24 AM
Cc: [email protected]
Subject: I-D ACTION:draft-ietf-itrace-03.txt

A New Internet-Draft is available from the on-line = Internet-Drafts directories.
