RFC 2589: limits for requestTtl

HI!

RFC 2589 says:

   The requestTtl is a time in seconds (between 1 and 31557600) that the
   client requests that the entry exists in the directory before being
   automatically removed.

31557600 seconds is 365 days (one non-leap year). That's not so much.

Does anybody here know why this limit was defined in this RFC?
