MG should not stop signal on physical termination in your case while adding= another termination in that context and should be able to play signals on = both terminations as instructed by MGC. -Arindam From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of= Beis, Grigoris (NSN - GR/Athens) Sent: Wednesday, August 22, 2012 5:21 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [Megaco] Wildcard "$" in Add command changes Signal properties in = physical termination Hello all, I came across a strange scenario which I haven't been able to justify it fr= om the H.248.1 document. We have an MGC-MG connection in a call waiting scenario where the MGC appli= es call-waiting tone to the MG in a physical termination via the following = message: C =3D 1 { MF=3Dport_1{ SG { CG/CW } } } The message is successfully ack'ed by the MG and the PSTN subscriber succes= sfully hears the call-waiting tone. What will happen to the call-waiting to= ne if the MGC issues an Add command with wildcard "$" and ring-back tone ap= plication, like the one below? C =3D 1 { A=3D$ { M { O { MO=3DIN,NT/JIT=3D0 } , L { SDP } } , SG{CG/RT}= } } [ As expected, the MG chooses an ephemeral termination in the subsequent Ad= d Reply] Does H.248.1 state anywhere that if a signal is applied in a command that b= ears a wildcard "$" termination, , it will replace the last signal that was= applied in the physical termination? We observed that upon sending the Ad= d command, the call-waiting tone is deactivated! I would consider this beha= vior as a MG deficiency, but I would gladly like to hear your opinion, as w= ell. Thank you, Greg --_000_7DE39EC55B99FC47A3DEB6179256D9910293BDUS70UWXCHMBA01zam_ Content-Type: text/html; charset="us-ascii" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <html xmlns:v=3D"urn:schemas-microsoft-com:vml" xmlns:o=3D"urn:schemas-micr= osoft-com:office:office" xmlns:w=3D"urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:word" = xmlns:m=3D"http://schemas.microsoft.com/office/2004/12/omml" xmlns=3D"http:= //www.w3.org/TR/REC-html40"> <head> <meta http-equiv=3D"Content-Type" content=3D"text/html;
