Yes, this dhc options could be beneficial for solving the topology problem. 
There are some dhcp options defined (or under investigation, I'm not total 
sure) for transmitting routing information (destination prefix and 
corresponding next hop).

Joel's draft would have to be extended to cover this issue.

I see that this fits better to the MIDCOM wg since not only pure dhc 
problems have to be solved, but more MIDCOM specific problems.
