Re: Nortel's IPR disclosure on MIDCOM Semantics

Here is a follow-up on this issue:

While doing some research about Nortel's IPR claim I stumbled over another
patent which might be related to MIDCOM.  This mail is just for your
information. It would be great if people of either Avaya or Tenovis
(they are the patent holder) are subscribed and could speak up.

The patent is "Firewall parser architecture for a given protocol" and
has been filed in April 2000 as EU patent.  The patent is available
online:

The patent is, interestingly (or even making it worse?), probably
overlapping with this expired Internet draft:

This draft mentions NAT external entities configuring NATs.
