If there is a NAT/firewall between, you may need a UDP-tunneling or Teredo solution (we implemented a simplified Teredo solution here to connect our 2 hosts for GPRS connection). Else, 6to4 is your best bet. There are many 6to4 implementations around (http://www.ipv6forum.com/navbar/links/v6apps.htm). Linux is the easiest to use for me (http://www.bieringer.de/linux/IPv6/IPv6-HOWTO/IPv6-HOWTO.html), although there is Windows2000 and Solaris implementation too. You do not need to use 6bone. Changing IPv6 <-> IPv4 is a lot of work and not easy. Warmest regards.
