I read SIIT and NATPT RFCs and have a small question on DNS-ALG: My question is related to the RFC2766, paragrah 4.2: Node IPv6-A starts by making a name look-up ("AAAA" or "A6" record) for node IPv4-C. MY QUESTION IS: TO WHICH NODE IS THE DNS REQUEST ISSUED ? ==>from IPv6 host (only AAAA, A6 was dropped) to NATPT box (usually NATPT translate IP header and DNS-ALG treats only dns packet) When reading the RFC it sounds like it is to the NAT-PT router (which then propagates this request to both DNSv6 and DNSv4). ==>basically, not "propagate" but "translate" between AAAA and A Yann Adam from FTR&D
