Hiya,

I think dkg asked a chair-like question on this: my answer for now is
I reckon we could take this on if we had rough consensus in the WG
but we'd have to (at least) co-ordinate with some other WGs before
deciding to go ahead and do that IMO. I don't think we're quite at
the point yet where we want to reach out and check if us taking this
on would step on any other IETF toes.

Formally, our charter [1] probably would require us to do a poll
about whether to add this to the charter or not, so we'd be doing
an envisaged re-charter if the WG want to take this on. And that's
ok, because we explicitly wrote the charter so that such things
would be a required, but not too-onerous, process-step.

One specific (technical, not IETF politics) question I'd have about
the basic idea is: how does this compare with DKIM and esp. the
proposed DKIM2 work? The goals of DKIM and this are qiute different,
but the mechanisms overlap a *lot* and might even interfere with one
another, so I think that's one where we would need an answer.

Cheers,
S.
