This isn't really true anymore, we have many casual users nowadays.
That being said, Proton Mail users don't actually need to know about
or do anything with public or private keys in order to use end-to-end
encrypted email.

And that was essentially my larger point: the best way to improve the UX
and prevent mistakes is to handle it for them, rather than worry about
the terminology, because novice users might make mistakes regardless of
which terms we use.

Then, the only people who should have to do anything with OpenPGP keys
manually are more technical users, who hopefully won't be confused
by these terms.
