As you might be aware, the operational challenges of deploying proper
PKIX certificates in multi-tenanted environments are significant. In
other words, it's impossible. :-) As a result, security suffers. To
address this problem, Matt Miller and I have been working on something
we call POSH (PKIX Over Secure HTTPS):

The IETF will hold a BoF on the topic next Monday at 16:20. It would
be great if Ops & Mgmt folks who are interested in this topic could
review our problem statement / proposed solution, and stop by the Bof
(there are no OPS AREA sessions at that time).
