Problem using the INITSC command

Unfortunately when entering the command Initsc nothing happens. No = error messages, no nothing infact. Have tried re-compiling and linking but still nothing. Looked at the = code and when putting in an argument of ? should get something back - = but nothing! Has/did anyone else have this problem?.
