Thanks for your quick response.
To provide a comprehensive historical overview about IP multicast deployment, I would also suggest structuring the draft to include additional points as the current version is heavily centered around IP routing.
For example, adding a section about IP addressing (IPv4 and IPv6) as multicast address allocation is a big issue and deployment barrier in IPv4 in addition to the boundary or scope distribution (TTL, administrative multicast, scope field in IPv6. Etc.).
Membership management (IGMP, MLD, IGMP/MLD Proxy, Snooping Switches, etc.) could be in one Section at the beginning of the draft after the IP addressing.
I will also make more sense to differentiate between one-to-many (ASM and SSM) and many-to-many routing protocols (one section for each) while highlighting the differences between IPv4 and IPv6 implementation for each multicast routing protocol (intra-domain or inter-domain).
Finally, there are many multicast protocols that have been devised for application session announcement and description (SAP, SDP, etc. RFC3170  https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/rfc3170) and it will be interessting to see how they fit together with the large multicast picture.
