I have determined that the consensus of this working group is that the
two Internet-Drafts,

   draft-ietf-pppext-ipv6-dns-addr-03.txt

and

   draft-ietf-pppext-ipv6-prefix-00.txt

not be considered for advancement as products of PPPEXT because they
duplicate methods better addressed by other, existing protocols. Not
only this, but we will also object to the IESG if they are proposed as
individual, non-working-group submissions.

Historically, the people on this mailing list have been both vociferous
and consistent on this topic--use existing protocols to do the jobs for
which they were designed rather than duplicating their functions in PPP
for reasons related to their specific implementation or infrastructure.
