All, Anyone objecting to changing the maturity level of this specification to Prototype should send their objection to mailto:[email protected] <mailto:[email protected]> The latest document is available at ftp://ftp.pwg.org/pub/pwg/ipp/new_DOC/wd-ippdoc10-20030808.pdf <ftp://ftp.pwg.org/pub/pwg/ipp/new_DOC/wd-ippdoc10-20030808.pdf> . The changes from the last version include one issues and some clean-up. In "The Printer Working Group (PWG) Standard for Internet Printing Protocol (IPP):Document Object" there was one issue and some updates required. Below is the summary. See the specification for the details. Pete ISSUE07: We need a "Document-equivalent" of job-collation-type. It would have different semantics, since the Job level semantics include the concept of documents, but I believe that since it is useful to know whether a Job is doing collated or uncollated copies, it would also be useful to know the same for Documents. Resolution: Since Job Collation includes sheet collation and document collation. Sheet collation is defined to be the ordering of sheets within a document copy. Document collation is defined to be the ordering of document copies within a multi-document job. '3' (uncollated-sheets)- documents are uncollated sheets are uncollated '4' (collated-documents) - documents are collated, sheets are collated '5' (uncollated-documents) - documents are uncollated, sheets are collated '2' (other) - handles three remaining cases - documents are collated, sheets are uncollated - documents are collated, sheets collation differs between documents - documents are ubcollated, sheets collation differs between documents Add clarification that "sheet-collate" with different values on Documents within a Job MUST set "job-collation-type" to '2' (other) (i.e.mixed) Version 0.15, August 8, 2003, 1. changed server-error-too-many-* text 2. added "-actual" 3. updated IANA registrations 4. added clarifying text to sections 3.1.1, 6, 7.1, 8, 9.1.35, 10.1 and 14 5. Moved "server-error-too-many-*" to status codes to JobX 6. clarified how "job-collation-type" handles mixed sheet collation beteen Documents Peter Zehler XEROX Xerox Innovation Group Email: [email protected] <mailto:[email protected]> Voice: (585) 265-8755 FAX: (585) 422-7961 US Mail: Peter Zehler Xerox Corp. 800 Phillips Rd.
