Time out everyone! :-) I've had some private discussion with the pwe3 chairs about this, and our current understanding is that no PPP code point is actually needed. What the PWE3 architecture document was trying to do was reuse the existing PPP registry so it wouldn't have create its own, since many/most/all of the same entries would be in both. But, it turns out that is probably not the right thing to do. A draft that explains what is really needed will be written and made available soon. At that point, we can revisit if needed.
