and guess I shouldn;t just throw the scalable flag out there. concerned
about the complexities of running an Ethernet control plane over a PSN
control plane: do we end up having to solve Ethernet issues, what will be
the interaction between the two layers, ethernet is not just a simple data
link layer - it is a protocol that spans multiple data links - it is in a
sense approaching a network layer protocol......

if we do, then some discussion about whether we specify service or network
interworking, or whether it is left open, would be useful. personally would
like to see a service interworking capability as I think a) it is more
scalable b) is less likely to create conflict between IEEE and IETF and c)
better leverages the underlying PSN technology.
