Michael I don't disagree I think I had this conversation with somebody, but can't remember if it was on this list, in direct email or at a CENTR meeting The key thing is that whatever way a registry handles it that they make it clear to registrars how they're making that decision and when they're implementing it For example, some registries cause part of the contact bloat by sending the contact with a domain on transfer, but then not letting the new registrar do anything without first re-creating the contact :) (Admittedly the one that springs to mind isn't using EPP .. ) M On 17 Jan 2012, at 16:58, MICHAEL YOUNG wrote: > I think there needs to be a reasonable period where you can determine a > contact object has been abandoned.
