I agree with this. I don't know any example where a contact:update has
to be performed with a password and the registrar is not allowed to
store it in its own database and has to fetch it from the domain owner
every time.

I know some registries that are sending out email notifications if
contact data has changed. This enables the registrant to complain, if
there are changes he or she did not want.
