Dear All, following the update of draft-ietf-mpls-mna-hdr <https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-ietf-mpls-mna-hdr/> that removed the NAI with AD (many thanks to the authors for making and implementing this step swiftly), we've updated the IOAM-DEX-MNA. The result is simpler and more robust. The authors believe that the draft is ready for the next step and appreciate your consideration of the WG AP by the MPLS WG. Your questions, comments, and suggestions are always welcome and greatly appreciated. Regards, Greg (on behalf of the authors) ---------- Forwarded message --------- From: <[email protected]> Date: Thu, Mar 30, 2023 at 9:49 AM Subject: New Version Notification for draft-mb-mpls-ioam-dex-04.txt To: Greg Mirsky <[email protected]>, Mohamed Boucadair < [email protected]>, Tony Li <[email protected]> A new version of I-D, draft-mb-mpls-ioam-dex-04.txt has been successfully submitted by Greg Mirsky and posted to the IETF repository. Name: draft-mb-mpls-ioam-dex Revision: 04 Title: Supporting In-Situ OAM Direct Export Using MPLS Network Actions Document date: 2023-03-29 Group: Individual Submission Pages: 9 URL: https://www.ietf.org/archive/id/draft-mb-mpls-ioam-dex-04.txt Status: https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-mb-mpls-ioam-dex/ Html: https://www.ietf.org/archive/id/draft-mb-mpls-ioam-dex-04.html Htmlized: https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/draft-mb-mpls-ioam-dex Diff: https://author-tools.ietf.org/iddiff?url2=draft-mb-mpls-ioam-dex-04 Abstract: In-Situ Operations, Administration, and Maintenance (IOAM), defined in RFC 9197, is an on-path telemetry method to collect and transport the operational state and telemetry information that can be used to calculate various performance metrics. IOAM Direct Export (IOAM-DEX) is one of the IOAM Option types, in which the operational state and telemetry information are collected according to the specified profile and exported in a manner and format defined by a local policy. MPLS Network Actions (MNA) techniques are meant to indicate actions to be performed on any combination of Label Switched Paths (LSPs), MPLS packets, and the node itself, and also to transfer data needed for these actions. This document explores the on-path operational state, and telemetry information can be collected using IOAM-DEX Option in combination with MNA.
