I just wanted to thank Stewart and Andy and all the current and previous AD=
s for all their help and guidance. This work goes way back to the PWE3 and =
L2VPN working groups in the early 2000=92s. Sometimes it is not always appr=
eciated just how much impact this technology has had on the evolution of fi=
xed and mobile, dramatically increasing the reach of high speed Internet se=
rvices.

Cheers

Matthew

Subject: [Pals] PALS WG working group status and way forward
Hi PALS WG,

Congratulations to everyone involved in documenting Pseudowire and LDP-enab=
led Services and technologies.
This has been a significant effort requiring sustained dedication and stron=
g community collaboration. Thank
you all for making it happen!

A special thanks goes to Stewart and Andy for their leadership in guiding t=
he working group to a successful outcome.

With the recent progress of the last planned charter item (https://datatrac=
ker.ietf.org/doc/draft-ietf-pals-ple/), the
PALS Working Group has completed its chartered work. Accordingly, the forma=
l closure of the WG is imminent.

While the Working Group is concluding, the pals mailing list will remain op=
en for any
future discussion, including errata or implementation-related topics. The m=
ailing list
archive (https://mailarchive.ietf.org/arch/browse/pals/) and the Datatracke=
r page
(https://datatracker.ietf.org/wg/pals/documents/) will continue to be avai=
lable as valuable
references for the community.

Thanks again to all who contributed to this effort. It's been a pleasure su=
pporting this WG.

Best regards,
Gunter Van de Velde
Responsible AD for PALS WG
