Dear all,
we discussed the checksum problem at the IETF and the result of that
discussion is:
1. the 16 bit Internet checksum is sufficient.
2. the 32 bit Internet checksum (and any other 32 bit checksum) may
result in problems with an IPR filed by Motorola.
Therefore the result is that the use the 16 bit Internet checksum as
described in the current versions of the IDs. Ethereal has been updated.
