The JOSE WG met at 14:00-16:00 on Tuesday 21st July.
All WG documents were discussed
Use of HPKE with JWE (https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-ietf-jose-hpke=
-encrypt/). WG consensus declared shortly after the meeting.
JOSE: Deprecate 'none' and 'RSA1_5' (https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft=
-ietf-jose-deprecate-none-rsa15/). WG consensus declared shortly after the =
meeting.
JOSE HPKE PQ & PQ/T Algorithm Registrations (https://datatracker.ietf.org/d=
oc/draft-ietf-jose-hpke-pq-pqt/). Review and mailing list discussion were e=
ncouraged, aiming for a WGLC before the next meeting.
Post-Quantum Key Encapsulation Mechanisms (PQ KEMs) COSE (https://datatrack=
er.ietf.org/doc/draft-ietf-jose-pqc-kem/) will not be progressed in the JOS=
E WG. JOSE aspects have been removed from the draft.
PQ/T Hybrid Composite Signatures for JOSE and COSE (https://datatracker.iet=
f.org/doc/draft-ietf-jose-pq-composite-sigs/). Discussions on choice of enc=
oding will continue on the mailing list.
JSON Web Proof Document set (https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-ietf-jo=
se-json-proof-algorithms/, https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-ietf-jose=
-json-proof-token/, https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-ietf-jose-json-w=
eb-proof/). Progress relies upon work in CFRG.
New work was also presented
BBS and Modular Sub-proofs with JSON Web Proofs (https://datatracker.ietf.o=
rg/doc/draft-bormann-jwp-modular-bbs/) had interest from the working group.
Long-Term Validation for JSON Web Signature (LTV-JWS) (https://datatracker.=
ietf.org/doc/draft-miyachi-ltv-jws/) will require further discussion on the=
mailing list.
