The EMU WG had a single 90-minute session earlier this afternoon. Topics covered were:

RFC 7170bis (see https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-ietf-emu-rfc7170bis/) - given new learnings on what does and does not interoperate in the real world, this document is going to be pulled back from the RFC Editor's queue (already held for MISSINGREF) for some trimming (of things that aren't done in the real world) and rewording (to make clearer what is known to work). Those things that are trimmed out might come back in a TEAPv2 specification that improves upon 7170/7170bis with the way we would like things to work in the real world.

EAP-EDHOC (see https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-ietf-emu-eap-edhoc/) - Heard an update on this RFC 9528 EAP method. The security considerations have been filled in, mostly inheriting properties from the underlying EDHOC.

EAP-FIDO (see https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-ietf-emu-eap-fido/) - new name coming soon. CABO-BOT suggests choices like Rufus, Bramble, and Flynn. Naming aside, the discussion was lively and extensive. And the author now has the more time to invest in advancing the document.

EAP-PPT charter item - A short discussion on updating the EMU charter to include a PRIVACYPASS EAP method. (See https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-sawant-eap-ppt/.)

PQC EAP-AKA' - This is about hybrid and pure PQC updates to EAP-AKA', embodied in two separate drafts from the same team. These have not been adopted yet, but there were some indications of support. See https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-ar-emu-pqc-eapaka/ and https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-ra-emu-pqc-eapaka/.
