SCMP is still a draft. Our company implemented the protocol to process transactions for e-commerce sites. We want to finish posting this as an informational RFC describing an application implementation of a messaging protocol using SMIME. In recent comments, we were asked to describe the mechanism that a client and server negotiate the payload of an SCMP message. We're still playing with this.
