OK, in this specific case it would have been useful for debugging mail issues, but more generally as a public record since it's useful to have this available to record discussions of protocol issues, bug reports, and so on. What about adding a The-Mail- Archive address to the list? https://www.mail-archive.com/faq.html#newlist So it'd archive post-spam-filter and whatnot messages only, not all the raw noise. Obviously it'd only get messages going forward from now, but that's better than no public archive. Peter.
