I don't really know of a document.  There might be something on PT's website,
or the IEC Proforum.  Google is your friend.

M2PA is like an IP SS7 link.  Its primary adtvantage is much higher capacity
than traditional narrow-band SS7 signalling links, as well as the ability to
use more cost-effective modern facilities (e.g. Carrier Ethernet) instead of
the more expensive groomed and graded voice channels that traditional
narrowband signalling links use.  Also, network interface cards for Ethernet
are cheaper than specialized TDM cards for narrowband signalling links.
