Hello Brian and all...
I had one question related to a scenario incase of DPC + OPC routing is used in M3UA. Please see the figure below.
Consider that at SG(STPB), there are two Application servers configured handling the traffic for the same DPC but originating from different OPCs
AS1 - Rk Type - DPC + OPC - DPC = 0-0-9, OPC = 2-8-221 - ASP1
AS2 - Rk Type - DPC + OPC - DPC = 0-0-9, OPC = 2-8-222 - ASP2
MSC1(2-8-221)
/-----\ STPA STPB DPC=0-0-9
|| || +---- -+ +----- +
| |--------| +------- | +--------ASP1(catering traffic for AS1)
\-----/ +--+--+ +---+-+
| |
| |
| |
MSC2(2-8-222) | |
||------+---------+ +-----------ASP2(catering traffic for AS2)
| |
\---/
Both AS's have a single ASP catering to them.
If the ASP serving AS1 goes down, how would (through which message) STPB (SG)propagate this to its adjoining STP(STPA) and hence to OPC(because as such DPC 0-0-9 is still available) , so that MSC1 does not send any messages for ASP1?
-Regards
Anjali.
