I suspect such data will be difficult to
generalize from for at least two reasons:

1.  There are many "existence proofs" of
    very large enterprise and carrier nets
    running SNMP.

2.  By their very nature SNMP Sets can be
    simple (single varbind integer type,
    for example) or arbitrarily complex,
    and can pretty much fill a continuum
    in between those two extremes.  Of course,
    the latter extreme is rarely found in
    practice for at least two reasons:

    a.  Few MIBs define complex writable
        scenarios.
    b.  Few management apps provide a UI
        to enable end-users to form
        arbitrarily complex Sets across
        multiple MIBs.

However, maybe Eric's math will demonstrate
something I've overlooked here or not seen
yet in the real world.
