It’s that time of year where we ask you to fill out the annual IETF Community Survey, sent to everyone subscribed to an IETF mailing list, which asks about how the IETF operates, the quality of its output, what it provides for you, and what could be improved. This year’s survey includes for the first time, a free-text box for you to provide extended feedback that goes beyond the questions.

This feedback we receive through this survey has a crucial role in informing the actions and views of the IETF community and IETF leadership throughout the year, so we would be very grateful if you could find eight minutes to provide your feedback, even if you don’t consider yourself a member of the IETF community:

Please note that we run this survey in anonymous mode and do not collect data such as IP addresses but it does require Javascript. If you want to confirm that the link above is genuine then please see our blog post [1], which also includes this link.

This request is being sent to all email addresses subscribed to an IETF mailing list, except those that opted-out of previous community surveys. If you want to opt out of this and all future community surveys then you can do so by emailing [email protected] and responding to the confirmation email.

This survey will close on Monday 26 January 2026. Thanks in advance for your time!
