I’ve heard from Apple representatives that the `public` subtree is now 
deemed to be issuable by them alone so that the Apple documentation 
defines the set of possible UTIs, at least from their point of view. At 
least this could prevent the appearance of wild incompatible names.

That explicitly ignores this entry at Apple’s. Maybe it is ok 
considering that this is not cross-platform at all and that the gesture 
of copying style is not widespread. I wonder if this will not come; it 
has been on macOS since more than a decade, I think. Maybe we can wait 
for it to come…

I agree to your suggestion for now.
