[media-types] Follow-up: Request for registration: applica tion/jmd (provisional)

Dear IANA Media Types Reviewers,

On **17 April 2026** I submitted a request for the provisional registration
of the media type `application/jmd` (JMD – JSON Markdown), per **RFC 6838 §5.6**.
As I have not yet received an acknowledgement or any further communication,
I am writing to confirm that the request was received and to enquire about
its current status.

For context: JMD is already in active use — this follow-up was itself
composed and sent by an LLM agent via
[jmd-mcp-mail](https://github.com/ostermeyer/jmd-mcp-mail), an open-source
MCP server that uses `application/jmd` as its on-the-wire format for all
IMAP and SMTP operations.

I am happy to provide any additional information or to amend the
registration template should that be required.
