Hi Murray, Would you be able to review this new one for us by August 25th? thanks, Amanda ===== Name: Thomas Pare Hern III Email: [email protected] Media type name: application Media subtype name: vnd.prismatic Required parameters: N/A Optional parameters: N/A Encoding considerations: 8bit Security considerations: A .prsm file is a valid HTML document and inherits all security considerations applicable to HTML (cross-site scripting, resource loading, etc.) when rendered in a browser context. Image data is embedded as RFC 2397 base64 data URLs and is not executed. The manifest JSON is embedded in a <script type="application/json"> element and is likewise not executed. Self-contained files have no external dependencies. Linked-mode files (those that load the rendering engine via a <script src> reference) carry the security posture of that external URL. Applications processing .prsm files should treat them with the same caution as arbitrary HTML documents. Interoperability considerations: Files conforming to version 1 of the Prismatic format specification are readable by any conforming implementation of the prismatic-card custom element, as defined in the specification. Unknown manifest keys must be ignored, permitting forward-compatible extension. The HTML container ensures that any web browser can open a .prsm file without a dedicated native handler; the holographic rendering is provided by JavaScript loaded from or inlined in the file. Published specification: Prismatic Image Format Specification, version 1. https://theelectricrainbowcompany.com/prismatic/spec/ Applications which use this media: Prismatic (https://theelectricrainbowcompany.com) — a web-based holographic image authoring and viewing tool developed by The Electric Rainbow Company. Fragment identifier considerations: Not defined. Standard HTML fragment identifiers (#id) apply to the container document but have no defined semantics at the format level. Restrictions on usage: none Provisional registration? (standards tree only): No Additional information: 1. Deprecated alias names for this type: none 2. Magic number(s): none (valid HTML document; begins with <!DOCTYPE html>) 3. File extension(s): .prsm 4. Macintosh file type code: none 5. Object Identifiers: none Person to contact for further information: 1. Name: Thomas Hern 2.
