Aren't there lots of flavors of markdown? Is there a base media type for the flavor of markdown with yaml frontmatter that this is meant to align with? How does this related to https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/rfc7763/ ? I think it's a great idea, assuming we can figure out how to relate to all the existing markdown formats floating around like https://github.com/GoogleCloudPlatform/knowledge-catalog/tree/main/okf OS On Thu, Aug 20, 2026 at 9:56 AM Alexey Melnikov <alexey.melnikov= [email protected]> wrote: > Hi Darrel, > > On 20/08/2026 15:51, Darrel Miller wrote: > > > I would like to solicit feedback on the possibility of registering +md > as a structured suffix for media types that are markdown documents with > additional machine processable semantics, such as YAML frontmatter.
