Aren't there lots of flavors of markdown?
Is there a base media type for the flavor of markdown with yaml frontmatter
that this is meant to align with?
How does this related to https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/rfc7763/ ?

I think it's a great idea, assuming we can figure out how to relate to all
the existing markdown formats floating around like
