I do not need my mailbox filled once more (for the 30th time,
it seems) with the Ohta-vs-unicode debate, despite your desire
to continue the crusade.

We also do not need to review the "wish that 8-bit URLs
could be transmitted cleanly in all channels", since we've
already done that many times too; it is not a topic of
discussion in [email protected], which is concerned only
with the criteria and process for new URL schemes.
   

The issue has little to do with "Internationalization" because
nationalities, languages, and character encodings are not
the same thing. Those who cannot distinguish these tend
to bring their national pride into engineering discussions,
apparently.
