Yes. That is my understanding. Then that means NOTE;ISO-8859-8:hihi is not a valid parameter? Thx Jacky ---------------Original Message------------------ From: "Jasbir Khatkar" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]>, "vCard" <[email protected]> Subject: RE: PropertyParameters Date: Tue, 30 Sep 2003 12:01:27 +0100 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Importance: Normal In-Reply-To: <[email protected]> Reply-To: [email protected] Sender: [email protected] Precedence: bulk List-Archive: <http://www.imc.org/imc-vcard/mail-archive/> List-Id: <imc-vcard.imc.org> List-Unsubscribe: <mailto:[email protected]?body=unsubscribe> I would not have thought that the same would apply to CHARSET & LANGUAGE since the possible values are not defined within the vCard specification (i.e. IANA). Since it is implied that "QUOTED-PRINTABLE" or "BASE64" refer to an encoding from the specification, the same could not be said of an IANA registered character set or language. Jasbir Khatkar -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]]On Behalf Of Jacky Cheung Sent: 30 September 2003 11:30 To: vCard Subject: PropertyParameters Hi, From the spec, vCard supports NOTE;QUOTED-PRINTABLE:XXXXXX which use a short version of property parameter. However, can the CharacterSet and Language use the short version? Regards, Jacky
