That sounds like a few SEARCH commands joined together and renamed to
STATUS. Perhaps using SEARCH (and maybe ANNOTATE) is enough?

SEARCH may not scale as well as STATUS-COUNTERS would, but in this case I
don't think that's a problem:  "You have 1042300533 messages, 32765355 new
and 42523145 important" is a nightmare no matter of efficiently it's
implemented ;)
