You did an excellent job, at the last IETF meeting, of showing that Whois 
is already broken, FOR ITS INTENDED OPERATIONAL FUNCTIONS.

Standardizing such things as formats, response codes, and label 
registration, are also common to the IETF culture, including for 
established activities.
