Hi Hoyt (and everyone else now on the distribution!) :-) This was the effort to make some additions to RFC 2527 that began in about 2001(?) until the publication of the new RFC in November 2003 (see https://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc3647.txt). I'm not sure where it says that it was approved by the ISC. It was just a working group from the ISC that helped make the edits. In any event, I agree with the suggested change. Regards, R. Randy V. The statement is that’s it has been approved by the ISC. When was that done. I've copied some but not all of the ISC leaders. hoyt Sent from my iPad > On Dec 19, 2022, at 9:52 AM, Santosh Chokhani <[email protected]> wrote: > Sounds fine to make the change. > > -----Original Message----- > From: pkix [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of RFC Errata > System > Sent: Monday, December 19, 2022 11:32 AM > To: [email protected] > Cc: [email protected]; [email protected]; > [email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected]; > [email protected]; [email protected] > Subject: [pkix] [Editorial Errata Reported] RFC3647 (7278) > > The following errata report has been submitted for RFC3647, "Internet > X.509 Public Key Infrastructure Certificate Policy and Certification > Practices Framework". > > -------------------------------------- > You may review the report below and at: > https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://www.rfc-editor.org/errata/eid7278_ > _;!!OPvj_Mo!7iYojuqPQ-IoOjK9wlQVIB0tV4WYFi-tQJkEypv1rN_Mw5kngDXmSv2BEo > Wzr0maUU9r4LB19fL4jMNcyNPCV3p65A$ > > -------------------------------------- > Type: Editorial > Reported by: Preston Locke <[email protected]> > > Section: 7 > > Original Text > ------------- > In particular, representatives of the ISC made changes to the > framework to better suite it to the legal environment and make it more > accessible to lawyers. > > Corrected Text > -------------- > In particular, representatives of the ISC made changes to the > framework to better suit it to the legal environment and make it more > accessible to lawyers. > > Notes > ----- > r/suite/suit > > Instructions: > ------------- > This erratum is currently posted as "Reported".
