I'd be a bit sad if the xmpp wg closed without getting a good e2e
spec done. But I agree that progress so far has not been stellar
despite various credible proposals and various folks' diligent
efforts.

If that's the route that's taken, I'd be happy to try help to the
extent I can, which is probably not much, but I'd be supportive of
continued efforts, even if those are outside the IETF process for
a bit. If there's a way that the IETF could help with that, e.g.
a list, or providing room space at meetings or something, I'd be
very happy to help make that happen.
