Except it isn't at the top of investigator's lists. In fact if you check the
discussions on various security forums, security ocmpany mailing lists and
websites you'll find that the consensus is that Russian spammers or criminal
gangs were responsible and the SCO attack was simply a smokescreen (a highly
effective one) to divert attention from the fact that this worm is a spam
proxy tool and provides facilities to install keyloggers, screen captuer
tools, remote admin and control programs...

.. why exactly would Linux zaelots intent on taking out SCO bother with
tools only used by spammers, criminals and script-kiddies? There are far,
far more effective means of blasting a company of the internet than simple
HTTP GET requests, and none of them require spam proxies...
