The People v. European Commission, round 2.

Hi All,

Here's a copy of a short note I sent to Nokia via the feedback page
on their web site:  http://www.nokia.com/nokia/0,,32969,00.html

"I read in the news that lobbying by Nokia is one of the reasons for
the lamentable decision by the current EU presidency to override the
decisions of the elected representatives in the European Parliament
and to try to force unwanted software patents into EU law. This is
yet another example of corporate muscle overriding the wishes of the
majority in its own selfish interests.

"I have recently bought a Nokia mobile phone, but I now regret that
decision. You can rest assured that unless Nokia changes its corporate
attitude to democratic decision-making, I shall not be buying Nokia
in the future."

I also sent a note expressing disappointment to the Irish
presidency via their contact page:

Snowflakes indeed, but enough of them could cause an avalanche.
